A Door County Must

"We make sure to eat at the Mission Grill at least once every trip to Door County. I have never had anything other than the Filet, but it is amazing. Also, love the blue cheese stuffed potato pancakes. Ambiance & staff are awesome. Definitely recommend stopping here for supper or even just for drinks at the bar."


Great food and service

"This has got to be my favorite place next to the Inn at Kristofer's. Great atmosphere, attentive service. Now add in execellent food for the price and you have one great place to have dinner while on vacation."


Lovely Lunch

"The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. After lunch we 'toured' the building (was a church at one-time). Pews were converted into booths in the bar section. The food was excellent. Lunch is reasonably priced and beautifully done. There's plenty of variety for every diner. My friends had sandwiches and I had the apple & goat cheese salad and soup. Portions were more than enough. The service was excellent!"


Amazing!

"This was our first visit to Mission Grille after being referred by friends, and we were not disappointed. Everything from the cocktails, salads, entrees and of course desserts were fabulous. The staff was very attentive with excellent suggestions for food choices. I do not think you can go wrong with whatever you choose to eat. The parmesean encrusted tilapia was superb, if you like crab cakes - another good choice - the pork chop (yes, aged pork chop) was savory and the steak tender and juicy. Save room for dessert and make a reservation. If you want romantic setting ask for table on the porch."

"We are regular visitors to Door County but this was our first time to visit the Mission Grille. It certainly will not be the last. We discovered a gastronomic friend--warm and inviting. We had the delectable Walleye and the Early Prawns--simply outstanding. We live in Chicago and will be back again and again! Doug orchestrated a culinary concerto. Thank you for being there."

Best food in Door County

One of the best meals we had in Door County. Worth the money and time while on vacation. Great salads, soups and chicken dinner. Outdoor seating is wonderful. Would highly recommend for a great dining experience.

"The food at the Mission Grille is both delicious and imaginative. An example--they have a potato cake with blue cheese that is out of this world. We had dinner and liked it so much that we went back for lunch two days later and took a friend."


Worth the Trip

"We had lunch on a Sunday early afternoon and it was excellent. The grounds and restaurant are gorgeous and relaxing. An ongoing Garden Party in an old church. Beautiful! The antique bar also adds to the decor. The menu has something for everyone. Portion sizes are adequate, and food is prepared with the freshest of ingredients. We especially liked the gourmet grilled cheese and the walleye sandwiches. Prices are in accordance with the area, a little pricey, but worth the trip. We will definitely come back for dinner. A perfect special occasion spot if you need one."

"They have the most beautiful patio (lush & green, with mini lights in the trees/bushes, candles on the tables, and water fountain/fall). Plus, the food was amazing and service was really good too."

"I was looking for a light lunch and a nice glass of wine. The peasant platter was just what I was looking for. A nice selection of cheese and fruit with a delicious homemade soup. I was delighted."

"The patio is really awesome on these nice summer nights! The salmon is very tasty along with the prime rib (get it blackened). The wine list is very extensive and they have great martinis. For dessert a grasshopper or brandy alexander!! How could you go wrong?"

"The last time I ate at the Mission was when it was still a 50's diner. It was a pleasant surprise to see how it's changed. The food and service were good, though people at our B&B claimed service wasn't good. I enjoyed the dinner and the nice wine selection."


The Best of Fine Dining In Door County
